The 24 year old New Zealander Mitch Evans made his ABB FIA Formula E debut with Panasonic Jaguar Racing in 2016 when the British team returned to racing. In his second season with the team, Mitch, widely seen as one of the quickest drivers on the grid, secured a series of firsts for Panasonic Jaguar Racing including super pole, podium finish and pole position. He finished season four in sixth position in the drivers standings outplacing his teammate and Formula E Season 1 Champion Nelson Piquet Jr.
Having fought for the championship title until the last race of the season, Evans finished his 3rd season in ABB FIA Formula E with Panasonic Jaguar Racing 5th overall. He claimed the first victory for the team in history of Formula E at the Rome ePrix followed by a few podium finishes.
